Design for the renovated outpatient Women's Clinic organized BMC comprehensive women's care practice into distinct clinical clusters laid out as "neighborhoods" along a central public circulation spine. The ultrasound area supporting the department also provides imaging services for a number of community hospitals that refer patients to the BMC practice. Because of the depth of the floor plate, one of the primary design drivers was maximizing access to daylight and views.
