In 2016 Emerson leased space at a new retail destination named the Shops at Highland Commons in Hudson, MA. Their goal was to develop an Urgent Care Suite as a new service line and to reach out to local communities to provide high quality care when and where it is needed. To that end LWDA collaborated with the hospital to create a six exam room primary care service suite supported by an X-Ray Room, and space for a rotating private physician practice. The result is a state-of-art urgent care facility that will deliver expeditious, quality health care in a suburban setting that will use Emerson Hospital as support for more intensive needs.
