The design for the Boston Foundation, a philanthropic nonprofit organization, transformed a turn-of-the-century traditional Boston high-rise into a contemporary work environment. The space is centered on the main lobby and conference center designed to accommodate large community meetings and functions. Administrative areas are divided into three work groups with modular workstations. Common conference rooms provide privacy and flexibility within each department. Key design elements included a central Profilit channel backlit glass light well in the interior lobby/conference center, and display walls for TBF projects. LLWDA graphic design served to establish strong connections between the TBF and the Boston neighborhoods it serves.
