A comprehensive Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Nashua Street campus master plan proposed a ten-story replacement patient wing. This scheme proposed streamlining services by relocating the administrative and support areas currently interspersed on patient floors to a separate dedicated location. Additional schemes were studied for relocation of the entire facility to adjacent sites. Along with the planning process, LWDA completed various upgrades, including renovations to the Addictions and Spinal Cord Injury program, Brain Injury Rehabilitation program, a PT gym, and the Gait and Sleep Laboratories.
LWDA more recently performed facade and lobby studies for the Nashua Street location to improve the patient experience.
